Mental Health Morning at RWP Botanical Center

9:00 – 10:00 AM

Join us for an hour of calm in the magical space of the Botanical Center with a relaxed session guided by heath expert Sandra Victorino, presented by the Roger Williams Park Conservancy.

Registration is free but required in order to keep the group to a reasonable size.

Sandra Victorino is the Director of Workforce Development, Diversity, Inclusion and Community Relations at Care New England and co-founder of the Latino Mental Health Network of Rhode Island. She has worked in the mental health field for 17 years. Her areas of interest in health care are access for all populations, health and mental health equity, and culturally and linguistically appropriate health services. In addition, her current work focuses on building leadership capabilities, diversity and inclusion, and developing and strengthening partnerships in our communities.

Sandra earned a Masters in Counseling at The University of Mary Hardin Baylor, and a Certificate of Advanced Graduate Degree in Mental Health Counseling at Rhode Island College. She is a bilingual, Spanish, bicultural Licensed Mental Health Counselor, skilled in Trauma-Informed Care and Motivational Interviewing. She is the Vice President the Mental Health Association of Rhode Island as well as a board member at the Women’s Fund of Rhode Island, and Providence/Cranston Workforce Board. She is on the Behavioral Health Advisory Board at Clinica Esperanza, a free clinic for the uninsured, the LunaYou Advisory Committee, a free online maternal wellbeing program, member of the Health Insurance Advisory Council, committee member of the Governor’s Workforce Board Adult Career Pathways Advisory Committee and serves as the Chair of the Commission for Health Advocacy and Equity. When she is not involved with her work and boards, she enjoys powerlifting, drawing trees, experiencing live music, and spending time with her family and friends

Get your tickets by the end of May to enjoy an evening of mingling at the @rwpbotanicalcenter and Rose Maze, delicious bites by Ellie’s Bakery and Morin’s Catering, Mahjong with the @thegildedbirds, entertainment from the @theprovidencedrumtroupe, live music by @luisgilbertord and Ashley Frith, and more!
