RWP Natural History Museum and Planetarium

Join us for a walk around Roger Williams Park to learn more about the environment around us! Winter is the perfect season to start building up skills to identify different birds, mammals and plants in the city’s backyard. Please dress for the weather and wear comfortable shoes. Binoculars are not required but encouraged for animal sightings. Walk meets at the Museum of Natural History and Planetarium. Recommended for ages 4 and older – families encouraged! Pets and strollers are not permitted. Program fee per session: $3 per person/free for museum members. Pre-registration required.

We`re so excited to welcome Julie Gearan back for another Slow Looking in Color and Line workshop at Roger Williams Park! This time, we`re gathering at the Rose Garden (near the Elmwood Ave. entrance, and across the street from the Betsey Williams Cottage) on Sunday, October 18, 12-2 PM.

Just bring yourself, your creative spirit, and a chair (if you`d like) to this free drawing workshop. All experience levels welcome, and supplies are provided!

Roger Williams Park Conservancy is hosting a screening of this impactful documentary created by @momsfirstus about what motherhood looks like in America today, at the @rwpbotanicalcenter.

Joining us for the screening and a Q&A panel after the film are representatives from local organizations @collectiveactionri, @rikidscount, and @unitedwayri. This open dialogue and opportunity for resource-sharing is designed to embody the film`s premise: that motherhood in America is not a private struggle but a collective one.
