Have you ever struggled to identify a skull you found in the woods? Come to the Museum of Natural History and Planetarium and learn the major features that distinguish mammal skulls, with particular attention paid to ones most commonly found in our area. After a brief presentation we’ll head to the vaults to take a look examples of the skulls we have discussed, as well as the more exotic specimens from the museum collection, from bears and big cats to otters and skunks. Please note: vaults are accessible by stairs only.

Program fee: $3 per person (includes museum admission); free for museum members. Program open to ages 12 and older.

Pre-registration is preferred. Call (401) 680-7221 or email [email protected] to register.
