Rooting at the Rose Garden: An Hour of Presence & Gratitude

Friday, October 17, 6-7 PM
The Rose Garden at Roger Williams Park

As the sun begins to set, you’re invited to step into a soft, sacred space beneath open skyโ€”a time to slow down, breathe deep, and reconnect with what anchors you. For one night only, Pneuhausโ€™s Mini Groves installation lights up the lawn near the Rose Garden, setting the backdrop for an evening of presence and gratitude with Sussy Santana. Santana leads a communal experience of grounding, release, and visioning. Through simple ritual, shared reflection, and quiet presence, weโ€™ll tend to the roots of our inner lives and open to what wants to grow next.

Together, weโ€™ll ask:

What truths are rising within you?

What can be offered back to the earth?

What are you ready to invite into your path?

This gathering is a moment to honor transitionsโ€”big or smallโ€”and to remember the power of gathering in intention, under natureโ€™s open embrace. Bring yourself. No experience neededโ€”just a willingness to be present. Come root down in gratitude, and rise with new intention. All are welcome.

#GivingTuesday2025 is just around the corner, and we get it โ€“ there are so many wonderful local nonprofits seeking support this time of year!

Why include Roger Williams Park Conservancy in your giving plan?

Behind the more than 50 free and low-cost programs hosted every year, the restoration of beloved historic structures still playing a role in the community today, and the expansive green spaces and waterways sustaining humans and wildlife alike, there are crucial partnerships and much hard work that goes into stewarding Roger Williams Park.

As Board Member Chris Lanen shares โ€“ and so many families can relate to! โ€“ "the Park provides [a] retreat into nature. Individually, it gives me a place to exercise and decompress. As a parent, it gives my child a magical place to play, explore, and learn throughout the year.โ€
