Lifelong Learners: Lost Park

August 28, 12:00 – 1:30 pm

Go back in time with docent Mike McGinity on a walking tour through Roger Williams Park. Long lost park treasures and missing monuments will be revisited at their original locations in this nostalgic look at the history of this grand space. Walks meet at the Museum of Natural History and Planetarium.

Program fee per session: $3 per adult/Free for Museum Members. Pre-registration required. Capacity is limited. Pets are not permitted on walking tours. Children are not permitted in our lifelong learners programming.

What are lifelong learners programs?
The Museum of Natural History and Planetarium offers tours, talks, drawing classes and other programs throughout the year for adult learners in our Lifelong Learners series. We have a variety of programming tailored for all kinds of lifelong learners.

Just bring yourself, your creative spirit, and a chair (if you`d like) to this free drawing workshop. All experience levels welcome, and supplies are provided!

Roger Williams Park Conservancy is hosting a screening of this impactful documentary created by @momsfirstus about what motherhood looks like in America today, at the @rwpbotanicalcenter.

Joining us for the screening and a Q&A panel after the film are representatives from local organizations @collectiveactionri, @rikidscount, and @unitedwayri. This open dialogue and opportunity for resource-sharing is designed to embody the film`s premise: that motherhood in America is not a private struggle but a collective one.
