Roger Williams Park Botanical Center (RWPBC) invites you to be part of our annual fundraiser, Fairy Garden Days (FGD)! Get ready to enjoy the tiny, the magical and wonderfully magnificent world of nature with your family and friends! This year we there are nearly 200 Fairy Houses! Fairies in Space is set to be one of FGD’s best yet! With the NASA Artemis mission sending the first woman and the first person of color to the moon, this journey into space is certainly worth celebrating. The Museum of Natural History and Planetarium in Roger Williams Park is partnering with the RWPBC this year to offer unique programming that highlights this historic mission.

Tuesday-Sunday: 10:00am-5:00pm, last admission timeslot is 4:00pm – 4:15pm.

Mondays: Private Viewing Experience for up to 10.

Once again, we will be hosting local artist David M. Bird of the famed Becorns! These woodland creatures are crafted from acorns, sticks, and other natural materials. David then photographs them in nature with wildlife! David’s nature photography will be on display, available for sale and he will be on site Saturdays to meet and greet!

Be ready for photo opportunities provided by Jessie Jewels Art who will be performing as Miss Mermaid Rhode Island and Fairy from Space between 11am-1pm on April 16th, 21st-24th, and the 28th-30th from 11am to 1pm.

Partake in some Fairy Yoga! Taking time to stretch is important for those big and small, even fairy small! Enjoy an “all ages” hour of Yoga for Every Body with Mimi Budnick inside the beautiful greenhouses Saturdays from 8am-9am. $20 for adults, $15 for children, price includes admission to the event so afterwards you can stay and enjoy the exhibition. Limited tickets available.

Venue

A friendly heads up to Park-goers: Maple and Pine avenues at Cladastris Avenue are temporarily closed for approximately 4-6 weeks, limiting vehicle access to Park Avenue via FC Greene Memorial Boulevard.

This temporary closure makes way for boardwalk construction at Cunliff Lake, a public access project that will enhance recreational opportunities at Roger Williams Park!

During this period, traffic will be detoured to park entrance and exit locations at Broad Street and Montgomery Avenue and Elmwood Avenue. Drivers using the Elmwood Avenue exit will follow Cladastris Avenue to FC Greene Memorial Boulevard to Linden Avenue to Elmwood Avenue south to Park Avenue east. Those using the Broad Street and Montgomery Avenue exit will follow Cladastris Avenue to Montgomery Avenue to Broad Street south to Warwick Avenue south to Park Avenue west.

Pedestrian and bicycle access will remain open. However, visitors are advised to follow posted signage and respect all barriers, as a crane will be active weekdays from 7AM to 3PM.
