Family Fairy House Hike and Build Workshop

Buy your tickets timed HERE
Calling all nature lovers and creative spirits! Join us for a magical outdoor adventure that’s perfect for the whole family during school vacation! Embark on a hike through the woods, where you’ll be inspired by the beauty of nature and collect your own materials—twigs, moss, acorns, leaves, and more—to craft the perfect fairy house. After the hike, head back to the greenhouses where you’ll get to build your very own whimsical fairy house using all the natural treasures you’ve gathered. This hands-on workshop is a fun and creative way to connect with nature while tapping into your imagination.
Return your fairy house to us the last week of March (25th-30th), and we will display your creations during Fairy Garden Days (April 12-27)—this year’s theme is Fungarium: The Mushroom Museum! Think fairies, fungi, and the fantastic world where they both live! Don’t miss out on this family event, celebrating nature and art!
Cost: $75 for a group of up to four people; Members receive a 10% discount! Call (401) 680-5000 to get your discount code.
Materials will be provided (and foraged). Adults are welcome to bring their own snips/pruners to use (some snips/pruners provided). If you have any natural items to bring, please do!

Venue

A friendly heads up to Park-goers: Maple and Pine avenues at Cladastris Avenue are temporarily closed for approximately 4-6 weeks, limiting vehicle access to Park Avenue via FC Greene Memorial Boulevard.

This temporary closure makes way for boardwalk construction at Cunliff Lake, a public access project that will enhance recreational opportunities at Roger Williams Park!

During this period, traffic will be detoured to park entrance and exit locations at Broad Street and Montgomery Avenue and Elmwood Avenue. Drivers using the Elmwood Avenue exit will follow Cladastris Avenue to FC Greene Memorial Boulevard to Linden Avenue to Elmwood Avenue south to Park Avenue east. Those using the Broad Street and Montgomery Avenue exit will follow Cladastris Avenue to Montgomery Avenue to Broad Street south to Warwick Avenue south to Park Avenue west.

Pedestrian and bicycle access will remain open. However, visitors are advised to follow posted signage and respect all barriers, as a crane will be active weekdays from 7AM to 3PM.
