One person’s weed is another person’s wildflower. An orchid growing in a wheat field is a weed. Wheat growing among the orchids is a weed. It is all a matter of perspective.Who can really tell which one is which? On this walk, Museum of Natural History docent Bill La Civita introduces participants to the weeds and wildflowers found in the park’s wetlands. Please wear comfortable, sturdy shoes for this walk.

This program is offered as part of the Museum’s Lifelong Learners Program. Program fee is $3 per adult and includes museum admission; free for museum members. Pre-registration is preferred. Call 401-680-7221 or email [email protected] to register. Note: Pets are not permitted.

Mark your calendars, and sign up online (link in bio) to be a part of this community effort to beautify the park, while also contributing important data to International Coastal Cleanup as we pick up trash and record what we find!
