Clark Dalrymple Boathouse Lawn in Roger Williams Park
Register for this free event here

Celebrate the launch of the new Watershed Walk: a collaborative project between the Stormwater Innovation Center, the Providence Parks Department, and community members!

Throughout 2025, community members shared artwork, photography, and poetry inspired by the Roger Williams Park ecosystem. These creative contributions were woven together with local history and science to create six interpretive signs located throughout the park, along with a digital archive featuring additional resources and community submissions. The signs are now installed, and we’re excited to celebrate this new community resource with you!

  WHAT TO EXPECT:

Family-friendly activities
Local artwork and poetry
Community rain barrel painting
Light refreshments
A short guided walk to one of the interpretive signs
Giveaways

Whether you’re an artist, nature enthusiast, park visitor, or simply curious about the watershed around you, we invite you to join us for an evening of community, creativity, and connection.

This event is free and open to all ages.  We hope to see you there!

Presented by Stormwater Innovation Center, Audubon Society of Rhode Island, Providence Parks Department, and Narragansett Bay Estuary Program,

As the seasons begin to change, it's a great time to reconnect with the natural world and slow down. We're excited to partner with the @rwpbotanicalcenter to offer a free Forest Bathing (Shinrin Yoku) session on September 19 at 10 AM with Lee Ann. This guided experience invites you to breathe deeply, notice your surroundings, and open your senses to the sights, sounds, textures, and rhythms of the forest.

Lee Ann Freitas is the director of the Botanical Center and a Certified Forest Therapist, horticulturist, and a hardcore advocate for all things nature. She creates a welcoming and peaceful environment for participants to slow down, connect with nature, and be present.

The session is free, but registration is limited – sign up online (link in bio)!
