Treasures from the Archives: A Look at Roger Williams Park

Temporary Exhibit at The Museum of Natural History and Planetarium

Roger Williams Park is celebrating its 150th Anniversary. Discover the history of “the People’s Park” in this new lobby exhibit featuring collections from the Museum’s archives and vaults. Special thanks to the Museum Docents for assisting with the exhibit curation.

July 1 through September 4, the Museum is open daily from 9:30am-3:30pm with Planetarium shows at 1pm on Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and Monday. We have implemented enhanced safety protocols and an online ticketing system.

Tomorrow, Safer Communities for Justice hosts Peace Day in the Park! Join them for an afternoon of unity, healing, and community connection. Enjoy live performances, inspiring speakers, family-friendly fun, and a day dedicated to bringing people together in peace and solidarity. Visitors will also have the opportunity to visit the Peace Bench, dedicated to survivors of violence and presented by Safer Communities for Justice. Bring your family, friends, and positive energy as we stand together for unity, hope, and safer communities for all.
