Event Series: RWP Women’s Trail Running Group

Lady Runners! Join Superintendent of Providence Parks, Wendy Nilsson, for a Women’s Trail Run bright and early on Wednesday, December 6th and Wednesday, December 13th.

We will meet at the Boathouse and run the Big Lakes Trail, 3.2 miles, at an easy pace.

This group designed to introduce runners to RWP’s newly refurbished trails and share tips about how to transition from running on roadways to running on trails.

Breakfast cookies will be provided!

* All are welcome! This event is for any women runner (beginner to advanced) who wants to explore the trails! *

We`re so excited to welcome Julie Gearan back for another Slow Looking in Color and Line workshop at Roger Williams Park! This time, we`re gathering at the Rose Garden (near the Elmwood Ave. entrance, and across the street from the Betsey Williams Cottage) on Sunday, October 18, 12-2 PM.

Just bring yourself, your creative spirit, and a chair (if you`d like) to this free drawing workshop. All experience levels welcome, and supplies are provided!

Roger Williams Park Conservancy is hosting a screening of this impactful documentary created by @momsfirstus about what motherhood looks like in America today, at the @rwpbotanicalcenter.

Joining us for the screening and a Q&A panel after the film are representatives from local organizations @collectiveactionri, @rikidscount, and @unitedwayri. This open dialogue and opportunity for resource-sharing is designed to embody the film`s premise: that motherhood in America is not a private struggle but a collective one.
