Rain Harvest Festival

Presented by the Stormwater Innovation Center

The Rain Harvest Festival is a free community event in Roger Williams Park celebrating art, music, and the importance of clean water in our communities. The event celebrates the Providence Parks Department’s investment in over 40 projects to clean polluted stormwater runoff before it enters the Roger Williams Park pond system, as well as the efforts of many Rhode Island organizations to improve water quality and natural systems in our communities. The Festival is made possible through our sponsors and partners, the Providence Parks Department, and the Rhode Island Department of Transportation (RIDOT).

We`re so excited to welcome Julie Gearan back for another Slow Looking in Color and Line workshop at Roger Williams Park! This time, we`re gathering at the Rose Garden (near the Elmwood Ave. entrance, and across the street from the Betsey Williams Cottage) on Sunday, October 18, 12-2 PM.

Just bring yourself, your creative spirit, and a chair (if you`d like) to this free drawing workshop. All experience levels welcome, and supplies are provided!

Roger Williams Park Conservancy is hosting a screening of this impactful documentary created by @momsfirstus about what motherhood looks like in America today, at the @rwpbotanicalcenter.

Joining us for the screening and a Q&A panel after the film are representatives from local organizations @collectiveactionri, @rikidscount, and @unitedwayri. This open dialogue and opportunity for resource-sharing is designed to embody the film`s premise: that motherhood in America is not a private struggle but a collective one.
