Roger Williams Park Conservancy and the Nonviolence Institute invite you to join us for Partner Peace Walks every Friday at Roger Williams Park!

After a long and challenging winter season, we look forward to welcoming the local community to experience the beauty of the park, getting exercise and fresh air while connecting with members of our beloved community. The third episode of RWPC’s Swan Stories just dropped! 🦢📖

We hit the water with Raymond Two Hawks Watson, the Chippinuonk Sâchem of the Mashapaug Nahaganset Tribe, attorney, and the president and CEO of the Providence Cultural Equity Initiative.

He shared stories about going to powwows at the park, Indigenous history lessons (including the role of Roger Williams Park in creating freedom of speech and freedom of religion in western society), and his journey to social justice work in Providence and advocating for authentic cultural tourism.
