Origami Peace Bird Scavanger Hunt in Roger Wiliams Park

February 12th –  March 2nd, 2024

Workshop on Saturday February 24th  11:00 – 12:00 – see event page and register to reserve a spot

Explore the trails and pathways throughout Roger Williams Park to find all 25 Peace Birds, created by local musician, community gardener and neighbor of the Park, Phil Edmonds.  The origami peace bird is a symbol of peace around the world and a simple expression of beauty with a single piece of paper.

Can you find all 25?  Take a photo of the birds you find and tag us on social media @RWPConservancy and @rogerwilliamspark

The birds will be located throughout the Park from February 12 through March 2nd.

Workshop: Join Phil on Saturday, February 24th at 11:00 AM – 12:00 PM  to learn how to create your own origami peace birds at the Roger Williams Park Gateway Center.  The workshop is free, but registration is required as space is limited.  Email [email protected]

Thank you to @ocean_state_ellary for hosting Monday evening gentle yoga sessions these past couple of months, and to everyone who joined us on the lawn outside the Betsey Williams Cottage! As the evenings get cooler, we're ending the season a little early, so we won't be gathering next Monday, September 21. Enjoy the start of autumn! 🍂
Join us this Friday at 10 AM for a Save the Bay cleanup at Roger Williams Park! September means it's International Coastal Cleanup season – you'll be among thousands of participants worldwide collecting and documenting what you pick up to contribute important data on marine (including watershed) debris, while helping beautify your favorite park!

Sign up (link in bio) to be part of the cleanup at the softball fields on September 18!
