Explore behind the scenes at the Museum of Natural History in Roger Williams Park with docent Mike McGinity. Discover the Museum’s archives and collection storage vaults while learning more about its history and collections in this adult program. Please note: This program is designed for adults. Access to the archives and collection storage vaults is by stairs only.

Program fee per session: $3 per adult/Free for museum members.  Pre-registration required. Capacity is limited.  Children are not permitted in our lifelong learners programming.

What are lifelong learners programs?
The Museum of Natural History and Planetarium offers tours, talks, drawing classes and other enriching programs designed for adult learners. Programs are offered throughout the year for adult participants and vary by topic and format.

As the seasons begin to change, it`s a great time to reconnect with the natural world and slow down. We`re excited to partner with the @rwpbotanicalcenter to offer a free Forest Bathing (Shinrin Yoku) session on September 19 at 10 AM with Lee Ann. This guided experience invites you to breathe deeply, notice your surroundings, and open your senses to the sights, sounds, textures, and rhythms of the forest.

Lee Ann Freitas is the director of the Botanical Center and a Certified Forest Therapist, horticulturist, and a hardcore advocate for all things nature. She creates a welcoming and peaceful environment for participants to slow down, connect with nature, and be present.

The session is free, but registration is limited – sign up online (link in bio)!
