Have you never visited the museum but always wanted to? Have you only visited with your students and didn’t really get to enjoy yourself and look around? Are you looking for new field trip ideas?

Join us for Educator Appreciation Day, Saturday January 20, 2018. Free museum and planetarium admission for teachers and their families, just show your school ID. See a planetarium show, check out new exhibits and speak with museum educators about new program offerings for the upcoming field trip season.

Every teacher that visits will receive entry into a raffle for a FREE field trip (planetarium and workshop, up to 50 students – additional students over 50 will be charged at the regular rate) during 2018, spring or fall AND a free family membership.

Planetarium shows are:
1pm: NASA’s Journey to Mars
NASA wants you to be part of the Journey to Mars. Join us on a monumental journey of a lifetime to extend the frontiers of human exploration, gaze across alien landscapes and see our Sunrise over new horizons. Join us for NASA’s JOURNEY TO MARS then return to Earth to gaze into the night sky to see what is visible throughout the year. This new show uses the full dome system and Zeiss star projector.

Spectacular video imagery will bring viewers up close to black holes, star-forming nebulae and more, showing the newest discoveries in astrophysics while instilling a sense of wonder about our universe.
Planetarium tickets are available first come, first served. Children under age 4 are not permitted in the planetarium.

#GivingTuesday2025 is just around the corner, and we get it – there are so many wonderful local nonprofits seeking support this time of year!

Why include Roger Williams Park Conservancy in your giving plan?

Behind the more than 50 free and low-cost programs hosted every year, the restoration of beloved historic structures still playing a role in the community today, and the expansive green spaces and waterways sustaining humans and wildlife alike, there are crucial partnerships and much hard work that goes into stewarding Roger Williams Park.

As Board Member Chris Lanen shares – and so many families can relate to! – "the Park provides [a] retreat into nature. Individually, it gives me a place to exercise and decompress. As a parent, it gives my child a magical place to play, explore, and learn throughout the year.”

Find the link to donate in our bio, with options for one-time or recurring gifts!
To all those celebrating, happy Thanksgiving from RWPC! Don’t forget: our trails and paths are always available for a rejuvenating post-feast walk! 🍂

We would love to hear what you’re thankful for about Roger Williams Park – is it a favorite piece of architecture or a serene place to retreat into nature? A favorite event or family outing that’s become a tradition? Let us know!
