The Roger Williams Park Conservancy is excited to present Movies in the Park 2019! These FREE, family-friendly events take place on Friday evenings at sunset on the Boathouse Lawn (across from the Carousel Village), following Food Truck Friday; see a Park map.

August 2          The Princess Bride (1987)
Heroes. Giants. Villains. Wizards. True Love. Not just your basic, average, everyday, ordinary, run-of-the-mill, ho-hum fairy tale!

August 16        Coco (2017)
Aspiring musician Miguel, confronted with his family’s ancestral ban on music, enters the Land of the Dead to find his great-great-grandfather, a legendary singer.

August 30      Jaws (1975)
When a killer shark unleashes chaos on a beach community, it’s up to a local sheriff, a marine biologist, and an old seafarer to hunt the beast down.

Bring a blanket and chair and pack a picnic, or arrive early to grab dinner at Food Truck Friday!

Presented in partnership with Cricket Cinema and the Providence Children’s Film Festival, and with support from the City of Providence Department of Art, Culture + Tourism.

THANK YOU to everyone who made Rosé in the Roses so memorable! Last Thursday, we celebrated the Conservancy and community, while giving a bittersweet send-off to RWPC’s outgoing board chair, Joe Pari.

Shout-out to @theprovidencedrumtroupe and @thesoundofgravity for filling the Botanical Center with magical sights and sounds – we can’t be the only ones still humming Pink Pony Club, right? 🤩 And to talented musicians Ashley Frith and @luisgilbertord for serenading guests throughout the night!

Stay tuned for a part-2 recap highlighting the rest of our amazing vendors and sponsors who made this year’s event one for the books!
