MNH February Vacation Mission Space Family Fun

February 18th – 24th @ 10:00 am – 4:00 pm

3-2-1 Blast off to the Museum of Natural History and Planetarium in Roger Williams Park during February  school vacation! Learn about our universe and celebrate all things space with family fun activities, planetarium shows and more.

Mission Space Week Happenings:

Mission Space Family Fun
10:00 am – 4:00 pm on Saturday, February 18, through Friday, February 24
Activities include: building a rover, learning about our solar system, discovering what it takes to go into space, fun crafts, special Mission Space museum quest and more.
Cost: Free with Museum admission.  Museum admission (does not include the Planetarium) is $2/ Museum Members Free/Free for children under age 4. See below for Planetarium info.

Our Place in Space Planetarium Show

There’s no place like home! Begin your journey from right here on Earth as we venture from the museum for a whirlwind trip through the solar system. Take an unforgettable tour through our cosmic neighborhood as you explore the craters of Mercury, stormy Neptune and discover why Earth is so unique. The adventure does not end there as we explore nebulae and star clusters of our Milky Way Galaxy. (General Audience)

Cost: Planetarium show ticket (includes Museum admission) is $5/Museum Members Free/Children MUST be age 4 and older.
Planetarium show tickets must be purchased ONLINE. Choose carefully and then confirm your selection, as all selections/sales are final. For safety reasons, Planetarium ticketholders are not permitted to enter the Planetarium once the show has begun.

Tomorrow, Safer Communities for Justice hosts Peace Day in the Park! Join them for an afternoon of unity, healing, and community connection. Enjoy live performances, inspiring speakers, family-friendly fun, and a day dedicated to bringing people together in peace and solidarity. Visitors will also have the opportunity to visit the Peace Bench, dedicated to survivors of violence and presented by Safer Communities for Justice. Bring your family, friends, and positive energy as we stand together for unity, hope, and safer communities for all.

The first Gentle Yoga in the Park session is this evening! 🧘

Yoga with Ellary Gamache (@ocean_state_ellary) takes place every Monday at 6 PM starting July 13. Bring your yoga mat, comfy clothes, and open mind to relax in the shade of the historic Sycamore tree in front of the Betsey Williams Cottage. This 18+ class intends to be an accessible, inclusive, and welcoming space for all bodies – no experience necessary!

Free weekly classes take place Mondays through Sept. 7 (except Aug. 31), weather depending; no sign-up needed. Follow us for updates!
