Saturday, March 17 and Sunday March 18, 2018, 1:00pm-3:00pm

Experience mineral treasures normally locked away in the museum’s vaults with the museum’s curator. Assembled over the span of over a 120 years, this collection is a record of vanished mines and long-gone geological wonders. From brilliant barites to glistening geodes and opulent opals you will have a personal view of Earth’s great crystal jewels. Bring a rock from your own collection and have our geologist ID it, or try to stump him!

September means it`s International Coastal Cleanup season – you`ll be among thousands of participants worldwide collecting and documenting what you pick up to contribute important data on marine (including watershed) debris, while helping beautify your favorite park!
