Flora and Fauna Museum Days at MNH

June 14th & 15th, 10:00 am – 4:00 pm

Join the Museum of Natural History and Planetarium in Roger Williams Park on Saturday, June 14 and Sunday, June 15  for Flora and Fauna Museum Days! Enjoy fun themed activities and learn about plants and animals. Guided Plant Walk – Plant and Animal themed Scavenger Hunt – Journey to the Stars Planetarium show  – and more! 

Special Flora and Fauna Museum Days Happenings:
10am-11am, June 14: Plant Walk
Cost: Free with museum admission

10am-4pm: Flora and Fauna Family Fun
Explore a variety of family-friendly, hands-on activities.
Cost: Free with museum admission

2pm: Journey to the Stars Planetarium Show 
Tour familiar stellar formations, explore celestial mysteries and discover the fascinating story that connects us all to the stars. Featuring images from telescopes on the ground and in space and visualizations of physics-based simulations, this show launches visitors through space and time to experience the life and death of the stars in our night sky, including our own nurturing Sun.  (General audience)

Cost: Planetarium show ticket (includes Museum admission) is $5/Museum Members Free;  Children MUST be age 4 and older.

Planetarium show tickets must be purchased ONLINE. Choose carefully and then confirm your selection, as all selections/sales are final. For safety reasons, Planetarium ticketholders are not permitted to enter the Planetarium once the show has begun.

Just bring yourself, your creative spirit, and a chair (if you`d like) to this free drawing workshop. All experience levels welcome, and supplies are provided!

Roger Williams Park Conservancy is hosting a screening of this impactful documentary created by @momsfirstus about what motherhood looks like in America today, at the @rwpbotanicalcenter.

Joining us for the screening and a Q&A panel after the film are representatives from local organizations @collectiveactionri, @rikidscount, and @unitedwayri. This open dialogue and opportunity for resource-sharing is designed to embody the film`s premise: that motherhood in America is not a private struggle but a collective one.
