Celebrate Earth during School Vacation
Monday, April 15-Friday, April 19, 2019

Before Earth Day, visit the Museum of Natural History and Planetarium for Earth Week! Explore what makes our planet so special with activity tables, demonstrations, crafts and daily planetarium shows at 2 PM. From the ground under your feet to the sky above, come celebrate planet Earth.

Special Earth Week Happenings

10 AM-4 PM: Earth Family Fun
Cost: Free with museum admission (admission is $2 per person; free ages 3 and younger)
Activities include: explore seeds on the move, learn about climate science, make a windsock, Celebrate Earth museum quest and more.

1 PM-2 PM: Dynamic Earth Activity Table
Cost: Free with museum admission
Join the museum’s educators to explore Earth science with your family. Have fun with hands-on activities and demonstrations.

2 PM: Earth’s Changing Climate (NEW Full Dome Planetarium Show)
Cost: $3.00 per person (includes museum admission). Children must be age 4 and older to enter the planetarium.
Discover how our planet’s climate affects–and is affected by–the sky, land, ice, sea, life and the people on Earth. The program will be followed by a brief tour of the night sky, using the planetarium’s Zeiss star projector. (General Audience)

It’s officially one month until Rosé in the Roses on June 11! 🌹We can’t wait to see everyone dressed in their garden party best – including statement-making headwear! Thank you to all the fashionistas who attended our Fascinator Workshop at the Botanical Center and created some show-stopping floral accessories with the help of instructor Michelle Carden. 

Even if you missed the workshop, you have full permission to get creative with your Rosé look! Get your tickets by the end of May to enjoy an evening of mingling at the @rwpbotanicalcenter and Rose Maze, delicious bites by Ellie’s Bakery and Morin’s Catering, Mahjong with the @thegildedbirds, entertainment from the @theprovidencedrumtroupe, live music by @luisgilbertord and Ashley Frith, and more!
