All About Eggs at the RWP Museum

Come learn about the natural history of bird eggs in this special program at the Museum of Natural History and Planetarium! After an overview of the basic biology of avian eggs, we will also have a quick look at the wide variety of egg decorating customs from around the world. Next you’ll have a chance to view a curated selection of our extensive egg collection not typically on view to the public.

This program is being offered twice, it is not a two-part program

Program Fee per Session: $3 per person, includes museum admission. FREE for museum members. This is not a drop off program.

We`re so excited to welcome Julie Gearan back for another Slow Looking in Color and Line workshop at Roger Williams Park! This time, we`re gathering at the Rose Garden (near the Elmwood Ave. entrance, and across the street from the Betsey Williams Cottage) on Sunday, October 18, 12-2 PM.

Just bring yourself, your creative spirit, and a chair (if you`d like) to this free drawing workshop. All experience levels welcome, and supplies are provided!

Roger Williams Park Conservancy is hosting a screening of this impactful documentary created by @momsfirstus about what motherhood looks like in America today, at the @rwpbotanicalcenter.

Joining us for the screening and a Q&A panel after the film are representatives from local organizations @collectiveactionri, @rikidscount, and @unitedwayri. This open dialogue and opportunity for resource-sharing is designed to embody the film`s premise: that motherhood in America is not a private struggle but a collective one.
