Sensory-Friendly Nights at Jack-O-Lantern Spectacular

October 21 and October 22, 5-6 PM
Roger Williams Park Zoo

Join us for a special sensory-friendly Jack-O-Lantern Spectacular an hour before the trail opens to the public: designed for those with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) and sensory processing differences and their families on October 21 & October 22 from 5:00 โ€“ 6:00 pm. For maximum enjoyment, the over 5000 pumpkins will light up the Zooโ€™s Wetlands Trail, but there will be no music or special effects. We recommend that you and your family arrive early to enjoy the experience for as long as you can, as the music and lights will turn on promptly at 6:00 pm.

Please Note: Tickets for this hour are only available IN PERSON at the Zooโ€™s admissions booth the evening of the event. Ticket prices are $16 for adults; $13 for children (ages 2-12); toddlers 1 and under are always free.

#GivingTuesday2025 is just around the corner, and we get it โ€“ there are so many wonderful local nonprofits seeking support this time of year!

Why include Roger Williams Park Conservancy in your giving plan?

Behind the more than 50 free and low-cost programs hosted every year, the restoration of beloved historic structures still playing a role in the community today, and the expansive green spaces and waterways sustaining humans and wildlife alike, there are crucial partnerships and much hard work that goes into stewarding Roger Williams Park.

As Board Member Chris Lanen shares โ€“ and so many families can relate to! โ€“ "the Park provides [a] retreat into nature. Individually, it gives me a place to exercise and decompress. As a parent, it gives my child a magical place to play, explore, and learn throughout the year.โ€
