Three ways for you to give back to the People’s Park

The natural beauty and natural amphitheaters of Roger Williams Park have made it an “essential place” for Rhode Islanders for almost 150-years. During 2020, the Park as been more essential than ever, with tens of thousands of families coming to the Park to safely be together in the shade of stately trees with lakes and ponds glimmering in the background. Free performances from local musicians filled the park with music and joy.

Now, the Park needs your help. This year’s drought, pests, and disease hurt young and old trees alike. The Park is at risk of losing trees that mean so much to so many. And the coming winter will be a difficult time for many, especially for our “essential worker” neighbors in Washington Park and Elmwood.

Imagine instead families of tomorrow gathering under the boughs of trees that we plant today. Imagine the cool shade they will enjoy in summer, or the fragrant blossoms of spring, in new places all around the Park.

Imagine Roger Williams Park filled with music and families in the fragrance and warmth of spring! Imagine the joy of seeing neighbors and friends again, enjoying the peace of music as swans and swan boats glide behind the stage.

That is why we have launched two campaigns for you to choose from during the 2020 giving season. You can join us as a donor or a fundraiser for:

And as always we invite you to give to our annual fund, which supports all of the great programs and investments in Roger Williams Park. Thank you for making Roger Williams Park your charity of choice in 2020.
