Community Meeting: RWP Gateway

The Providence Redevelopment Agency, the Department of Planning and Development, and the Providence Parks Department are hosting a community meeting on Thursday, October 24 from 6:00-7:30pm at Bomes Theater (1017 Broad Street in Providence) to review design ideas for the new Roger Williams Park Gateway to be constructed at the Broad Street entrance to the Park. The public is encouraged to attend, to review the designs and offer feedback.

This project is funded, in part, from a grant from Rhode Island Housing, through the Acquisition and Revitalization Program.  The PRA issued an Request for Qualifications (RFQ) for design teams interested in the project. Twelve highly-qualified teams from the region and beyond responded and 5 have been shortlisted to develop design ideas for the facility. A winning team will be selected at the November 14 PRA Board meeting.
