Join us for the world premiere of Christopher Marlowe’s Doctor Faustus, reimagined and adapted by Jesús Valles as ¡Que Diablos! Fausto This bilingual production brings new life to the timeless tale of ambition, love, and redemption, all through the lens of Latinx voices and artistry.

¡Que Diablos! Fausto is a tragic story and to tell it, we must start elsewhere, en el más allá de la tierra! En ese lugar eterno entre el cielo y el infierno. Where the world is made, and the fate of human souls is fiercely fought over. This bilingual adaptation is infused with music, humor, and a thoughtful message that will stay with you long after the show ends

Teatro en El Verano is Rhode Island’s only bilingual traveling theater company, bringing vibrant performances to Latino neighborhoods across the state since 2016. Our plays are bilingual adaptations of well-known classics like Romeo & Juliet, Don Quixote, and The Great Gatsby, reimagined with Latino voices and culture at the heart of the storytelling. With an all-Latinx cast, we make theater accessible, engaging, and reflective of our communities—performed in parks and public spaces where audiences can experience live theater in English and Spanish. Find four spots along Frederick C. Green Memorial Blvd. and near the Museum of Natural History and Planetarium.

Even in the winter months, we hope these seating nooks will offer a few moments of reprieve in the outdoors when neighbors need it most.

A friendly heads up to Park-goers: Maple and Pine avenues at Cladastris Avenue are temporarily closed for approximately 4-6 weeks, limiting vehicle access to Park Avenue via FC Greene Memorial Boulevard.

This temporary closure makes way for boardwalk construction at Cunliff Lake, a public access project that will enhance recreational opportunities at Roger Williams Park!

During this period, traffic will be detoured to park entrance and exit locations at Broad Street and Montgomery Avenue and Elmwood Avenue. Drivers using the Elmwood Avenue exit will follow Cladastris Avenue to FC Greene Memorial Boulevard to Linden Avenue to Elmwood Avenue south to Park Avenue east. Those using the Broad Street and Montgomery Avenue exit will follow Cladastris Avenue to Montgomery Avenue to Broad Street south to Warwick Avenue south to Park Avenue west.

Pedestrian and bicycle access will remain open. However, visitors are advised to follow posted signage and respect all barriers, as a crane will be active weekdays from 7AM to 3PM.
