Statuary Stroll: Walk in Roger Williams Park

Tuesday, September 30, 10:00am-12:00pm
RWP Museum of Natural History and Planetarium

Roger Williams Park’s landscape is beautiful with its green trees and shrubs abounding – a wonderful time to explore its historic statuary art as we walk! Museum docent Mike McGinity will guide us through a wealth of statues and monuments tucked away in often hidden places. Walk meets at the Museum of Natural History and Planetarium. Please wear comfortable, sturdy shoes for this moderately strenuous walk.

Program fee per session: $3 per adult/Free for museum members.  Pre-registration required. Capacity is limited. Pets are not permitted on walking tours. Children are not permitted in our lifelong learners programming.

What are lifelong learners programs?
The Museum of Natural History and Planetarium offers tours, talks, drawing classes and other programs throughout the year for adult learners in our Lifelong Learners series. We have a variety of programming tailored for all kinds of lifelong learners.

It’s not every board meeting that you get to meet a tamandua! 😍

This curious critter made an appearance at the RWPC Board Meeting this morning at the @rwpzoo Education Center. Huge thank you to Amy Roberts, Andrea Stein, Anthony Polite, and Kim Warren from the Zoo team for letting us meet Oblio and sharing so many interesting facts about the tamandua (a type of anteater!). Oblio brought many professional insights to the meeting, too 🐜

Visit the Zoo to learn more about tamanduas and other amazing animals!
