Have you ever picked up a rock and wondered what it was? Join us at the Museum of Natural History for a crash course on rock identification. We will start with a short presentation that will give an overview of Rhode Island’s geologic history as well as a primer on the basic minerals and rock types, followed by a hands-on segment where we will look at various rock specimens from the Museum’s collections.
Program fee: $3 per person per program/Museum Members free. Pre-registration is required. Capacity is limited. Face coverings must be worn.
