Project Background:

Over the years, the City has outlined a bold vision to revitalize Broad Street. From improved bicycle and pedestrian infrastructure through initiatives like Great Streets and City Walk to bringing vacant and abandoned properties like the historic Bomes Theatre back to their original splendor, we’ve built a brighter, more inclusive future for the neighborhood. No project will be more transformative for Providence’s Latin cultural corridor than the new Roger Williams Parks Gateway and Welcome Center. The state-of-the-art structure, set to break ground during FY 21, will sit atop the long vacant El Fogon property, activating a blighted property into a thriving community asset.

THANK YOU to everyone who made Rosé in the Roses so memorable! Last Thursday, we celebrated the Conservancy and community, while giving a bittersweet send-off to RWPC’s outgoing board chair, Joe Pari.

Shout-out to @theprovidencedrumtroupe and @thesoundofgravity for filling the Botanical Center with magical sights and sounds – we can’t be the only ones still humming Pink Pony Club, right? 🤩 And to talented musicians Ashley Frith and @luisgilbertord for serenading guests throughout the night!

Stay tuned for a part-2 recap highlighting the rest of our amazing vendors and sponsors who made this year’s event one for the books!
