“Dancing in the Park” a Success

On Friday, June 1, the Roger Williams Park Conservancy welcomed more than 150 people to “Dancing in the Park,” a festive evening at the Park’s beautifully restored historic Bandstand.  The Conservancy’s inaugural fundraising event, “Dancing in the Park” raised $13,500 net to support Park programming and ongoing preservation projects.

Guests danced to lively music by Superchief Trio, enjoyed delicious food and drinks by Russell Morin Catering & Events, and generously bid on silent auction packages that offered exclusive Park experiences, such as a night at the Museum of Natural History with a private planetarium show and behind-the-scenes vault and archive tours; a Food Truck Friday VIP package; and a front row seat and exclusive access to the Rhode Island Philharmonic Orchestra’s acclaimed annual performance at Roger Williams Park on Friday, August 10.

See additional event photos on Facebook.

Dancing in the Park highlighted Roger Williams Park’s restoration and revitalization, launched by the Rhode Island Foundation’s Campaign for Roger Williams Park and continued by the Roger Williams Park Conservancy.
