Eclipse Watch Party at the Museum of Natural History in Roger Williams Park

Monday, April 8, 2024. 2:00 – 4:00

The Museum is hosting a FREE watch party for the partial solar eclipse. While Rhode Island is not in the path of totality, it’s close with 90% of the Sun being covered. The eclipse starts at 2:25pm and peaks at 3:30pm. Visit the Museum of Natural History for family-friendly fun and viewing party. Enjoy hands-on activities and more as we gear up for the main event. Each family visiting on April 8 will receive a FREE pair of eclipse viewing glasses, provided by the NASA Rhode Island Space Grant Consortium.
This free community event includes FREE admission to the Museum on Monday, April 8.

We`re so excited to welcome Julie Gearan back for another Slow Looking in Color and Line workshop at Roger Williams Park! This time, we`re gathering at the Rose Garden (near the Elmwood Ave. entrance, and across the street from the Betsey Williams Cottage) on Sunday, October 18, 12-2 PM.

Just bring yourself, your creative spirit, and a chair (if you`d like) to this free drawing workshop. All experience levels welcome, and supplies are provided!

Roger Williams Park Conservancy is hosting a screening of this impactful documentary created by @momsfirstus about what motherhood looks like in America today, at the @rwpbotanicalcenter.

Joining us for the screening and a Q&A panel after the film are representatives from local organizations @collectiveactionri, @rikidscount, and @unitedwayri. This open dialogue and opportunity for resource-sharing is designed to embody the film`s premise: that motherhood in America is not a private struggle but a collective one.
