The Rhode Island Foundation, TACO/The White Family Foundation, Papitto Opportunity Connection, the City of Providence, the Providence Parks Department, Roger Williams Park Conservancy and PVD Fest in the Parks are proud to present:

The Rhode Island Philharmonic Orchestra and conductor Troy Quinn return to Roger Williams Park’s Temple to Music for RWP Pops, an inspiring night of music and community. As always, the show is free and open to the public!

The Rhode Philharmonic Youth Wind Ensemble will open the concert with a selection of seven wonderful songs from composers around the world.

The Philharmonic will perform the following set, which includes many beloved pops favorites:

WILLIAMS: Liberty Fanfare

SHOSTAKOVICH: Festive Overture

Arr. SLATKIN: Fisher’s Hornpipe

WALKER: Lyric for Strings

COPLAND: Rodeo: Hoe-Down

BIZET: L’Arlésienne: Suite No.2: Farandole

Arr. WILLIAMS: Tribute to the Film Composer

BERNSTEIN: West Side Story: Overture

WILLIAMS: Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Ark: Raiders March

STEPHENSON: Fanfare for Democracy

WARD (arr. DRAGON): America the Beautiful

TCHAIKOVSKY: 1812 Overture

SOUSA: The Stars and Stripes Forever

If you are driving to the Park, parking is limited so plan to arrive early to ensure a parking spot. You can pack a picnic, or enjoy a meal from a food truck. Relax, enjoy the Park, your family, and your neighbors during this must-do evening in Providence!
