[NOTE THAT DUE TO THE OCTOBER 12 WEATHER FORECAST THIS PERFORMANCE IS RESCHEDULED FOR SATURDAY OCTOBER 17]

Our free pop-up concert series at with FirstWorks continues this fall with a spirit-lifting line-up in a gorgeous outdoor setting. Following the success of our (safely-distanced) summer launch, we’re thrilled to bring you a new series of live arts experiences spanning a world of styles, from salsa and French Cajun to West African kora and indigenous jazz.

Lee Mixashawn Rozie is an internationally acclaimed jazz musician whose career in traditional and contemporary Indigenous music spans three decades. Combining ancient cultural principles and harmonic adventures, Mixashawn lights up the connecting waves that unfold between and around us, revealing universal qualities of our shared world. Sets at 2:00 and 2:45 PM. Land acknowledgment by Loren Spears, Narragansett, Executive Director of Tomaquag Museum.
