Our new Summer Beats pop-up concert series with FirstWorks at Roger Williams Park features live, socially distanced performances with local and international flavor. This week’s featured artists are master tabla player Nitin Mitta, accompanied by sitarist Srinivas Reddy. Let the mesmerizing rhythms of these revered South Asian instruments take you to another place, while relaxing in the beautiful setting of the park on a summer evening in Rhode Island. Grab your mask, picnic blanket and lawn chair and join us at the Roger Williams Park Dalrymple Boathouse Lawn (across from the Carousel Village) for sets at 6:30 and 7:15 PM. Co-presented by FirstWorks and Roger Williams Park Conservancy. Financial support for the show is provided in part by the City of Providence Parks Department and Department of Arts, Culture, and Tourism.
