April Vacation Activities at Roger Williams Park

Interesting activities abound at Roger Williams Park over April school vacation – and hopefully spring sunshine will, too!

Fairy Garden Days
April 14-29, 2018 from 10am-4pm
The Park’s Botanical Center is transformed into a fantastical fairy-themed world during Fairy Garden Days. Explore a host of intricately handcrafted fairy dwellings and villages. Embark on a scavenger hunt and traverse the Gnome Trail. Engineer your own enchanting fairy house or gnome home. General admission is $10.00; $5.00 for children ages 3-12, seniors (over 64), & military (with ID); $3.00 for Botanical Center members.

Mission Space
April 16-20, 2018 from 10am-4pm
3-2-1 blast off! The Museum of Natural History and Planetarium presents a week of Mission Space activities. Build a Mars rover, design a space craft, discover what it takes to go into space, learn about meteorites, and more. Daily at 2pm, enjoy “Our Place in Space” planetarium shows. Mission Space activities are free with $2.00 museum admission; planetarium shows are $3.00 and include museum admission.

Party for the Planet
April 16-20, 2018 from 10am-3pm
Roger Williams Park Zoo hosts its annual Party for the Planet, a week-long celebration of animals, conservation and the environment that includes close encounters with some incredible creatures.

Take a Hike
Get moving and soak up spring by exploring the Park’s walking trails, or go on a self-guided tour to discover the Park’s notable trees, art, and historic buildings.

Float Your Boat
See the Park from a new perspective by making a splash in a swan boat!

Perhaps pack a picnic, browse the Little Free Library by the Boathouse for a book, and make a day of it!
