Save the Bay Clean-up at RWP

Monday, October 13 (Indigenous People’s Day), 10 AM-12 PM
Softball Fields at Roger Williams Park

We are partnering with Save the Bay for monthly clean ups in Roger Williams Park to help keep RWP looking its best! Register with Save the Bay HERE. If all spots are full, reach out to us and we will try to accommodate more people. Email [email protected]

WHAT: Join the International Coastal Cleanup with Save The Bay! Shoreline trash is ugly and dangerous to wildlife, and shoreline cleanups are a great way for volunteers to make a difference. We will divide into small teams to pick up trash and record what we find. The data will be included in the Ocean Conservancy’s annual report on marine debris.

WHERE: The softball fields at Roger Williams Park, F C Greene Memorial Blvd, Providence, RI 02905. This is a large park with one-way loops and several entrances – use this link to navigate to the exact spotPlease carpool or use alternative transportation if possible!

REGISTRATION NOTES

  • Pre-registration required. Sign up HERE to let us know you will be part of the team!
  • Age: Cleanups are recommended for ages 8+. Ages 16+ may participate independently; Ages 8-15 may participate with a parent or guardian. Parents with children will be asked to sign a family waiver at the event.
  • If the cleanup is full, go to Save the Bay and look for other cleanups or join the waitlist! Spaces often open up.

Confirmation of service letters are available upon request! Just ask your cleanup leader at the end of the event.

Take a moment to unwind and spend time with other people during two Mental Health Mornings on the calendar this winter: February 12 and March 14, 9-10 AM.

Join us for an hour of calm in the magical space of the @rwpbotanicalcenter with a relaxed session guided by health expert Sandra Victorino, co-founder of the Latino Mental Health Network of Rhode Island with her own practice. Each session is free, but registration (link in bio) is required to keep the group to a reasonable size.

Hope to see you there!
