Meet Richard Riccio and John Goff! 🌳

This month`s People of RWP spotlight introduces two dedicated Providence Parks Department employees: @iamriccio, the Botanical Center Supervisor at Roger Williams Park, and John, who has been with the Parks Department for over 14 years.

Even though their presence in the Park is not strictly for leisure, on any given day you can find Richard and John taking a walk during their break, enjoying the health benefits of being outside. If you see them, say hi! They’re a small part of the mighty @pvdparks crew who take care of over 100 parks, including our beloved RWP. 🥾

🌳 Wear your garden gloves and sturdy shoes to clean up the Park with Save the Bay at 9 AM on Friday.
🎷 The FirstWorks Summer Beats season is going strong with Friday`s concert at 6 PM, featuring The William Cepeda & Elio Villafranca Sextet: Merging Roots. @pvd_foodtruckevents offers a host of delicious fare nearby!

Their dynamic approach to jazz blends musical traditions of their homelands, highlighting cultural resilience through rhythm, improvisation, and storytelling.
